Kendelle was called to the Bar in 2006 and articled at a full service firm in the Fraser Valley where she later stayed on as an Associate. During this time, Kendelle obtained a varied litigation background, including acting as an ad hoc prosecutor for the Department of Justice. In this role, Kendelle gained extensive experience both in the courtroom and in negotiating deals with other counsel. In May, 2007, Kendelle joined a family law firm in downtown Vancouver and since that time has focused her practice exclusively on family law.
In April, 2011, Kendelle left the “big city” and joined Campbell Burton & McMullan to work closer to her home and family, having lived in Langley for most of her life. She appears regularly in both the Provincial Courts and Supreme Courts of British Columbia for Judicial Case Conferences, Settlement Conferences, trials and Supreme Court Chambers applications. Kendelle strives to maintain a client-focused practice, taking into account each client’s unique needs and challenges. She believes that effective advocacy is essential to reaching the best possible resolution upon the dissolution of a marriage or relationship. Kendelle also believes in the utility and importance of negotiation and mediation in resolving conflicts; and, has extensive experience in reducing those terms of settlement to a formalized Consent Order or Agreement (whether it be in the form of a marriage agreement or separation agreement). However, Kendelle will not hesitate to challenge unfair positions in court which are not in the best interests of her client or their children.
