Experience Seeley’s practice is focused on civil, commercial, and estate litigation, human rights, and family law, and has appeared in both Provincial and Supreme Court. She prides herself on her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Background Seeley was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2003. She articled and practiced as an associate at a downtown Vancouver law firm, where she gained litigation experience. Prior to arriving at CBM, she held a contract position with the BC Human Rights Coalition, a non-profit organization that provides free legal representation to complainants at the BC Human Rights Tribunal.
Education Seeley graduated from Simon Fraser University in 1997, with a major in Psychology and a minor in English. In between undergraduate studies and law school, she took a year off and worked as a dispatcher at a flying school at Boundary Bay Airport. She then attended law school at the University of Victoria, where she volunteered at The Law Centre, a legal aid clinic, and held a number of law-related jobs through the co-operative education program.
Family & Community Seeley is on the board of directors of the Langley Seniors Resource Society and co-chair of the Young Lawyers subsection of the Canadian Bar Association. In her spare time, she enjoys anything arts-related, including live music, slam poetry, theatre, and film, and tries to keep fit with long-distance running.
