Experience
Rick joined Campbell, Burton and McMullan in 1989 and became a partner in 1993. His practice is restricted to bodily injury, wrongful death and ICBC claims. Rick has successfully handled numerous serious injury cases, including those involving traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. Rick is a long time member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia and he has presented cases in all levels of the British Columbia courts, including Provincial, Supreme and the Court of Appeal.
Background
Rick has been a resident of Langley since 1977. Prior to attending law school, Rick served for ten years as an RCMP Officer with the Langley Detachment and with the Vancouver Commercial Crime Section.
Education
While employed with the RCMP, Rick studied Business Administration at Simon Fraser University on a part-time basis. After resigning from the RCMP, Rick completed his Law degree from the University of British Columbia and was called to the Bar in 1989.
Family & Community
Rick, a resident of Langley for over twenty years, enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, and two daughters. Rick has been involved in a wide variety of community associations, including the Langley Sunrise Rotary Club, the Big Brothers and Sisters of Langley, the Brookswood Lions Club and the Langley Township Parks and Recreation Commission. Currently, Rick is a member of the Aldergrove Rotary Club. In addition, Rick was able to spend more time with his daughters as a coach for the Langley Girls Softball Association.
