Experience Janice is a member of the Trial Lawyers’ Association of British Columbia with almost 20 years’ experience primarily in the areas of personal injury and family law. Prior to joining Campbell, Burton and McMullan, she has worked as a sole practitioner, in private practice with law firms and as in-house counsel for the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. In addition to trial work in both the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia, Janice has attended numerous mediations. She is a firm believer in mediation as a cost-effective process that often results in successful resolution for her clients. Janice attempts to approach all her cases with professionalism, objectivity and sensitivity in order to help her clients work through often emotional issues to arrive at a satisfactory conclusion to their cases.
Background Janice spent her early life in Ontario and moved to British Columbia in 1970. Except for attending law school Ontario, she has resided in British Columbia since that time and has been a resident of Abbotsford since 1994.
Education
Janice obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia with a major in philosophy. She also partially completed her Masters degree in philosophy prior to attending law school at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 1986.
Janice has continued her education by taking Continuing Legal Education and Trial Lawyers’ Association courses. In addition, she has taken a number of mediation courses at the Justice Institute

Family & Community Janice enjoys spending time with her family and she is an avid horse person. She is a member of the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce, Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities, Horse Council British Columbia and the Trial Lawyers’ Association of British Columbia.
