Experience
Erika was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 2006. She articled at a national firm in Vancouver where she gained experience in construction litigation, employment, corporate, commercial and real estate law. After graduating law school and prior to articling, Erika interned at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague, Netherlands, where she assisted in Chambers with the Milosevic trial. Since joining Campbell Burton & McMullan, she has appeared on several matters at the B.C. Supreme Court, as well as assisting with a matter at the B.C. Court of Appeal.

Background
Erika was raised in the Lower Mainland and greatly enjoys all the outdoor benefits the area has to offer, such as hiking, cycling and skiing. She resides in Crescent Beach where she enjoys daily walks along the beach, as well as swimming in the summer. In addition to exploring British Columbia, Erika has a passion for travelling abroad, having spent time in India, Europe, South-East Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Turkey, Costa Rica, and Japan.

Education
Erika graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto in 2005.  Before attending law school, Erika obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia in 2000, where she was chosen for the Mahatma Gandhi prize awarded to an outstanding philosophy student of the graduating class. She also holds a certificate in Accounting from Capilano College. Erika continues to attend continuing legal education courses and is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of B.C.

Family & Community
While at law school, Erika volunteered with organizations assisting low-income clients with legal services, was a senior editor with a legal journal, and actively participated in a forum on international legal issues.  She currently serves on the board of directors for the Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition, which is a non-profit society whose members work towards improving cycling conditions in the Lower Mainland.
